How to Request Account Deletion
If you wish to delete your Aozora Guide account and associated data, please follow these steps:
Submitting a Deletion Request

Send an email to:
[email protected] - Use the subject line: "Aozora Guide Account Deletion Request"
- Include the Google account email address you used to sign in
We will process your deletion request within 7 days and send you a confirmation email.
Data That Will Be Deleted
The following data will be deleted upon your request:

Data Stored on Your Device
The following data is stored only on your device and is not transmitted to our servers. This data will be automatically deleted when you uninstall the app.
- Bookmarks
- Reading history & progress
- Downloaded works
- App settings (font size, theme, etc.)
- Reading statistics
To delete this data, simply uninstall the app from your device.
Canceling Your Subscription
Deleting your account does not automatically cancel your subscription. To stop being charged, you must cancel your subscription separately:
Important
We recommend canceling your subscription before deleting your account.
For Android
- Open the Google Play Store app
- Tap your profile icon → "Payments & subscriptions" → "Subscriptions"
- Select "Aozora Guide" → "Cancel subscription"
For iOS
- Open the Settings app
- Tap your Apple ID → "Subscriptions"
- Select "Aozora Guide" → "Cancel Subscription"
Data Retention Period
- Authentication & personal data: Fully deleted within 7 days of request
- Anonymized analytics data: Retained for up to 14 months (non-identifiable statistical data)
- Subscription history: Subject to App Store/Google Play terms (cannot be deleted by developer)
